The Camps Bay Retreat Hotel which features the historical 1929 Earl's Dyke Manor and the modern Deck House is nestled between the mountain ranges of Table Mountain, Lions Head with Signal Hill and the Twelve Apostles in the exclusive Cape Town suburb of Camps Bay. Magnificent views over the Atlantic Ocean can be enjoyed from this small luxury hotel estate, which is set in the middle of a beautiful garden.

The Earl's Dyke Manor was bought by Mr Thomas Earl Skaife from the Cape Marine Suburbs in the year 1911. This private estate in Camps Bay was then sold in 1920 to a gentlemen by the name of Friedrich Wilhelm Knacke. The original house on the Camps Bay estate was demolished in 1929 when the present manor house, which is designed by William Grant, was built.

The Deck House at the Camps Bay Retreat Hotel, in contrast to the formal and historical Earl’s Dyke Manor, reflects a very modern and luxurious theme throughout its rooms and suites. Sunlight and large wooden deck spaces from which beautiful views can be enjoyed over Camps Bay, Camps Bay beach and the ocean are dominant at the Deck House at the Camps Bay Retreat Hotel. The Deck House in Camps Bay features a private outdoor swimming pool and extensive lush gardens. All the rooms and suites at the Deck House in Camps Bay provide wooden outdoor balconies with deck chairs, refreshment stations with tea and coffee making facilities, satellite televisions, telephones and lap top facilities as well as DVD Players.
